The Pettis County Democrats will host veteran educator and labor advocate Peggy Cochran as the guest speaker for their monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6:00 p.m. The public meeting will take place in the Lincoln-Hubbard Apartments Community Room, 711 N. Osage in Sedalia. Cochran, the former Executive Director of the 40,000-member Missouri NEA, will speak on national and state voucher programs, school privatization movements, and strategies to defend Missouri’s public school funding. All community members, teachers, and parents are invited to attend.
