The Pettis County Democrats Organization serves as your connection to both the Missouri and National Democratic parties. Working together, we are dedicated to ensuring that your voice is heard at local, state, and national levels.
In Pettis County, we have two groups actively working on your behalf. The Pettis County Democrats Central Committee is made up of members who represent the citizens of the county. Each ward and township is represented by one male and one female voting committee member. The committee is responsible for recruiting candidates, hosting political and candidate events, overseeing our headquarters during presidential election years, and providing information and outreach to the community. Everyone is welcome to attend our committee meetings, where you can share your concerns and suggestions.
Additionally, Pettis County has an active Democrats Club, which is open to everyone and focuses on community outreach. Volunteers from the club support the activities of the Pettis County Central Committee and also organize their own events. We engage in fundraising, participate in local and nearby county parades, and help run the state Democratic Party tent at the Missouri State Fair.
Many of our members volunteer their time for special projects aimed at improving the lives of our fellow residents. We also support like-minded groups who exercise their right to peaceful protest. There is strength in numbers.
